Miguels Douro red wines comes from the family state situated on the bank of the Douro River in the Upper Corgo.

MIGUELS Douro red wines comes from the family state situated on the bank of the Douro River in the Upper Corgo. The property and the vine develops between the river and the mountain, along the various slopes that flank and confluent with the river. This vineyard was first planted in 1845 by Baron of Seixo. It occupies about 200 hectares, a third of which cultivated with vines, classified with the letter A, the highest category in the Douro scale. The planted grape varieties are the most traditional grapes from the region, able to produce either the Port wine or Douro wine with Designation of Origin. Touriga Franca and Tinta Roriz, are the dominant castes, followed by varieties Touriga Nacional, Tinta Barroca and Tinto Cão.
